A unique plastic processing event in the Romanian Alps
The event combines specialised conferences which focus on practical solutions and an exhibition with up and running units. Existing customers as well as large businesses from all over the country are invited to exchange ideas and business opportunities.
This year, Plastics Bavaria has once again made the virtually impossible possible: In front of a mountain hotel in the Carpathians, at 1400m and under difficult weather conditions, an entire plastics processing plant was set up, including 35 plastics processing systems and units in a 500m2 tent.
By splitting the event into theory and practice, the Plastics Forum has a great advantage: The theoretical information which was presented during the conferences could then be demonstrated in action in the tent exhibition.
Cutting-edge technology and individual solutions
This year, over 260 guests participated in the conference, where efficient solutions for optimisation, development and modernisation of production capacity were presented and supported by live unit demonstrations in the temporary plant.
motan-colortronic presented together with KraussMaffei, Regloplas, Reglochill, Rapid, MTF Technik and Sesotec cutting-edge technologies and units from materials management and plastics processing. Three injection moulding machines, multiple dosing and mixing units, various drying systems, multi-axis robots, eight temperature control units, a complete cooling system, two granulators in different sizes, two conveyor belts, various metal separators and peripheral units were displayed.
Along with product innovation in conveying technology, a central topic of the entire motan-colortronic presentation was a demonstration of remote operation, during which the Tech Centre in Friedrichsdorf, over 2000km away, was accessed via motan’s LINKnet. This clearly showed how not only production times could be reduced, but how machine supply and material consumption could be controlled and calibrated from great distances.
An additional highlight was the presentation of the new LUXOR EM A dry air dryers from motan’s Simple Solutions Series. The compact, mobile drying units are designed specifically for single applications and fitted with a drying bin. The units are delivered to the customer preassembled with all selected options. All features are fully tested before delivery. Only the material loaders need to be installed after delivery. After a quick and easy installation, the units can be used immediately.
The numerous visitors were enthusiastic about the presented solutions and new networks with business partners could be made in a relaxed atmosphere. In summary, the Plastics Forum 2017 in Braşov was a complete success!
